Niels Shoe Meulman's Calligraffiti

"Calligraffiti" - what a great name!

This is my first posting of calligraphy, but a little know secret is that I love lettering. There's something about words and languages that makes my heart sing... hence why I find letters so intriguing.

Niels Shoe Meulman is a very talented and creative Dutchman. He created a beautiful concept which he coined "Calligraffiti". As you can probably guess, it is a combination of Calligraphy and Graffiti. His definition is: "traditional handwriting with a metropolitan attitude."

Suffice it to say, it's super cool and I love it!

[All of these photos below are part of Niels' new work with acrylic and pearlescent paint on canvas and they change color at an angle.]
