Japanese Embroidered Spheres

This should boggle your mind. It does mine...

Embroidering, in general, is such a delicate and precise art. Now imagine embroidered designs... but on a sphere. BOOM mind blown.

I'm not even going to try to understand it. I'll just sit back and admire the beauty...

These works were produced by a Japanese grandmother (now aged 92). It's an old Japanese tradition called "Temari" where the balls are given to children as gifts to play with.
