savarin |ˈsavərin|nouna light ring-shaped cake made with yeast and soaked in liqueur-flavored syrup.

Is that kinda like a donut?

LOTS of events I'm planning in the next few months for all sorts of things!
1. Michael's Birthday Weekend - [I have to keep it a secret because he reads this thing]
2. Autumn Celebration - cooking delicious fall flavors and going to a corn maze with friends!
3. Girl's Night - dinner and a night of fun with the girls that I work with (bachelors - I have 2 good looking single girls if you are interested :))
4. Speaker Event at Work - planning a luncheon and speaker for 50-100 guests for my boss.
5. Family Dinner - dinner with me and my roommates' families sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
6. January - New Year Party for top clients at work.

I think that's it... there may be one or two more that I've discussed with people and haven't set in stone yet.

I love this photograph. Everything about it is perfect to me. It's Mary Ruffle

New Artwork

I forgot to put these up last week...

Here are my current projects.

This is a map of Paris with major designers/houses around it.

I saved these while I was living with Kimberly (had been recently engaged and was planning her wedding).

Rich colors outlined in black. I'm going to paint the frame black too. (I don't know how to rotate this... sorry!)

This is a map of New York. My favorite map - the Subway. I still have to finish the edges.

Shiny silky fabric outlined in black and white.

mikado |miˈkädō|noun historicala title given to the emperor of Japan.

I will try to remember to take pictures of my artwork in progress to post on here... the afternoon sunlight is the best (and I leave for work before the sun rises sooo... that leaves the afternoon for taking pictures).

Gretna Green

Gretna Green |ˈgretnə|a village in Scotland just north of the English border, near Carlisle, formerly a popular place for young runaway couples from England to be married without the parental consent required.

I've been MIA lately. But I'm back and I'm going to try to do a good job posting this week. I have so many things I want to share!

Not sure where I got this picture from... but I LOVE these rich colors and masculine design.

Picture of round silver sequins hanging in the San Francisco BART station. Oh my, I just about fell over when I saw how beautiful these were in person. What a fantastic vision! I hope to recreate this in my own home one day. (picture via Susan Diana Harris)

Birthday List

These are a few of my fav-or-ite things....

1. All American Rejects - "When the World Comes Down" Album. Getting back to my roots.

2. Perfume vial from Anthropologie. Super chic, super girly.

3. Apron from Anthropologie. It's important to look good in the kitchen too.

4. Measuring cups painted as flowers from Anthropologie. I just died when I saw these. My heart hurts.

5. Private jet. I can dream, right?

As you can see, I pretty much am OB-SESSED with Anthropologie. I will work in their corporate office one day. Yes, yes I will. [they can look past the fact that i have absolutely no design background or fashion merchandising experience, right?]
